Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 22, 2026
Ascentus Studio (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the Plombier Chris Inc. website (the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in compliance with Quebec’s Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (as amended by Law 25), the Canadian federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, and, where applicable, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act. By using the Platform, you acknowledge the practices described below.
1. Privacy Officer — Title and Contact Information
In accordance with Quebec Law 25, the Chief Executive Officer of Ascentus Studio holds default accountability as the organization’s Privacy Officer responsible for ensuring compliance with this Policy and applicable privacy legislation. The Privacy Officer’s contact credentials are: Title/Position: CEO & Privacy Officer; Organization: Ascentus Studio; Contact Email: ascentus.studio@gmail.com.
You may contact the Privacy Officer directly regarding any request for access to your personal information, rectification of inaccurate or incomplete information, withdrawal of consent, or any inquiry relating to a confidentiality incident or security breach affecting your data. We will acknowledge and respond within the timelines prescribed by applicable law.
2. Privacy by Default and Consent
The Platform operates on a Privacy by Default framework. Unless and until you provide explicit, affirmative, opt-in consent, only the strictly necessary technical functions of the Platform are active. Non-essential tracking technologies — including Google Analytics, Meta Pixels, and behavioral heatmap tools — are completely deactivated by default and will not collect, record, or transmit any data about your browsing behavior until you affirmatively opt in, whether by clicking “Accept All” in our cookie banner or by individually enabling a specific cookie category in our Cookie Settings panel. You may withdraw your consent at any time, with the same ease with which it was given, by selecting “Manage Cookie Preferences” in the website footer.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on your interactions and cookie preferences, we may collect: (a) information you voluntarily submit through our quote request form, such as your name, phone number, email address, service address, and description of the services requested; (b) technical information such as IP address, browser type, and device identifiers necessary to operate and secure the Platform; and (c), only where you have opted in, analytics data regarding pages viewed, time on page, click behavior, and marketing attribution data used for advertising measurement.
4. Cross-Border Data Transfers
We disclose transparently that personal data collected on this Platform may be transferred outside the province of Quebec for infrastructure hosting, customer relationship management, and marketing distribution. Prior to any cross-border transfer of personal information, we conduct a formal Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) to confirm that the destination jurisdiction provides a level of protection equivalent to Quebec law. Where equivalence cannot be confirmed, we implement contractual and technical safeguards designed to achieve it before any transfer occurs.
5. Automated Processing and Profiling
Where you have consented to analytics and marketing cookies, the Platform may monitor behavioral data to execute automated processing, including lead scoring, user profiling, and delivery of targeted advertising. You have the right to request information regarding the personal information used, the reasons and principal factors that led to any automated decision concerning you, and to request human review of any decision made solely through automated means that produces legal or similarly significant effects. To exercise this right, contact the Privacy Officer (Section 1).
6. Your Rights
As a resident of Quebec, you are entitled to the following statutory rights:
- Right of Access and Correction: request a copy of the personal information we hold and correct inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information.
- Right to De-indexation: request that we cease distributing your personal information or unlink it from public indexes where continued distribution would cause serious injury to your privacy or reputation.
- Right to Data Portability: request a copy of your personal information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, submit a written request to the Privacy Officer at ascentus.studio@gmail.com. We will respond within thirty (30) days of receipt, in accordance with applicable law.
7. Confidentiality Incident (Breach) Protocols
We maintain a mandatory security breach response framework to detect, contain, and remediate confidentiality incidents affecting personal information. If an incident presents a risk of serious injury — including identity theft, financial loss, or damage to reputation — Ascentus Studio will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information (CAI) and affected data subjects without delay, within the timelines required by Quebec Law 25. We also maintain an internal confidentiality incident register documenting every incident.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide services, respond to inquiries, comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. Quote request information is retained for a maximum of thirty-six (36) months following your last interaction, after which it is securely deleted or irreversibly anonymized, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
9. Cookies
Details regarding the specific cookies used, their purposes, and retention periods are set out in our Cookie Policy. You may manage your cookie preferences at any time via the “Manage Cookie Preferences” link in the footer.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be indicated by an updated Effective Date at the top of this page.
